Spoiler Alert….this week’s newsletter is my version of an Oscar’s speech.
Last night our team proudly received the award of ‘Agency of the Year’ for the third consecutive time and I won back the individual ‘Agent of the Year’ award. A pretty special achievement for a business that started in a rented apartment on a laptop 11 years ago with the only other employee being my cat (RIP Kitty).
Rate My Agent tallies numbers of sales, the numbers of positive reviews and then independently identifies which agents across Australia are consistently delivering.
What’s interesting to me is that many competitors publicly try to delegitimize these awards whilst privately desperately trying to win them. The truth is these awards have value for you the consumer, it’s not a franchise accolade - it’s independent and agencies can only win by looking after their clients consistently over the whole year.
Real Estate is a very murky space for consumers to get reliable information. Every agent claims to be the best, price guides are often woefully under quoted and sale prices are often kept secret…the end result being an ambiguous market place where it’s often hard to know what’s really going on.
If you or any of your friends and family want trustworthy advice you are most welcome to contact us, we’d be happy to help. Unlike many businesses we won’t stalk you or try and push you to sign anything, if there is some business in it for us then great - if not, I’m proud to say that I’m sure we will add some value to your buying or selling journey.
Thank you to every client that backed us last year, we sold 102 properties in the area and held the third largest market share (which given the size of our team is extraordinary) and we managed to do it all leaving a very long trail of happy customers (many of whom are now friends).
That’s all for this week, thanks to a wonderful cast…it’s a privilege to work with all of you. I promised I wouldn’t name names but a special thank you to Bindi, Alex, Laura, Rachel, Chris, Jude, Chai, Eliza, Kerry, Thomas, David, Min….I could go on but I won’t….god I hope I haven’t missed anyone.
*Enter orchestra playing in background…
Until next week,
David Murphy
