For anyone wondering what happened between myself and Wendy, it didn’t work out (as in her excessive abuse continued). To be fair, it was an unlikely love story. Well the good news is 2021 can only get better from here…freedom day is nigh and it’s a mere 11 weeks until Christmas.
The property market is now in its final run for the year and whilst we still can’t run open homes or on-site auctions it seems that restrictions will ease on those soon enough. Huzzah!
I wanted to keep this week’s note brief, mainly because we are busy (not too busy) but also because for some reason I’m just not feeling that salty today…boring right?
One subject I did want to touch on was how to buy a property. Almost every day I am asked by friends and clients about the best strategy to win at auction or in a competitive negotiation. Folks, in most cases the answer is pay the most.
Real Estate is one of the few domains where impulsive buying will probably make you wealthier in the long run. If you love it and you can afford it then buy it.
In 20 years I honestly can’t remember a client saying to me ‘I wish we didn’t buy this place.’ By contrast the list of people who say ‘I wish we did’ is a long one indeed.
Just think, if you buy in the next few weeks you should be settled just in time for Christmas and ready for all of the fun and frivolity that 2022 has in stall.
Until next week,
David Murphy
