Someone Press Record.

If you are about my vintage you probably remember the yearly release of the wonder filled ‘Guinness Book of Records’….man that was a treasure trove of fun facts that filled me with glee (that longest fingernail one used to keep me up at night).

It’s probably no surprise that I was then drawn to an industry that just seems to set new records every day (or even minute). In fact, I would go as far to say that we are in a record time for records being recorded in real estate.

Boy oh boy, don’t estate agents LOVE a record? Record for the street, record numbers of buyers, record time on market, whitest teeth record, tightest pants record, record numbers of Muppets.

That reminds me….the other ‘Muppet indicator’ I forgot to mention last week. When an agent loses a listing to a competitor and then bad mouths the property to buyers in the market…mate…just because you couldn’t sell it doesn’t mean the property is the issue.

Ahhhhh, I can’t help myself. I’m proud to report that our humble (too busy) little team sold the penthouse this week in the Oasis building in Manly for….you guessed it…a new RECORD!! Would another decent agent have achieved a similar result? Maybe. Would they have treated our elderly clients with patience and respect? Hmmm, probably not. In fact they were pressured, almost bullied to sell for much less before it went on the market….thank god they didn’t fold.

Have you ever seen the word ‘record’ used this many times in an email? Booooom.

Until next week
