On The Horizon.

It’s true….much to the delight of many of our competitors I have been pretty quiet recently…why I hear you ask? Let me explain.

Firstly, we have been busy closing out sales for the year and I’m delighted to announce that we have exceeded our target - today we closed our 115th transaction for the year. A great effort team!

Secondly, and this is a tad delicate…we have been getting some work done. In case you haven’t noticed, we have a new look….we are going to make beige great again. We can’t wait to show you everything we have in store, our new branding is being unfurled for 2025 and we think you are going to love it…to us beige is not just a colour; it’s a state of mind.

So how’s the property market? Well it depends who you ask.

2024 has been a game of two halves, the market in the first half was flying…buoyed by the prospect of rate cuts. The second half has been a very different story.

And yes, I also get the market reports that you receive from other agents saying how good the market is (in their office) but folks, as unthinkable as it may seem some agents bend the truth…shock horror.

The moment it became clear that rates weren’t coming down soon the market shifted. Yet the weird thing is on a daily basis clients of ours get approached by other agents (with no listings) talking up the market.

*Question. If they don’t have any listings and aren’t making any sales, how do they actually know what the market is like? I just can’t answer that one for you.

Interesting times ahead, along with my Santa suit I'm dusting off my crystal ball and will check in next week with our predictions for 2025 (and maybe even some baby news).

Until next week,

David Murphy
