East Meets North.

Another big week here at DMRE with four sales, the highlight being the hotly contested auction at 1 Spencer Road, Mosman last Saturday morning. Is the market on the rise? Hard to say just yet but continued low stock levels across the city combined with relative economic stability seem to be creating some momentum.

It's worth noting that the successful buyers on Spencer Road came from the Eastern suburbs, a trend that our team has observed for some time now. Frustrated buyers in the East have started to cross the pond snapping up ‘bargains’ on the lower north shore. Bargains I hear you say? Well…kind of. If you look at relative house prices in the East the prices over here do represent much better value.

There is another trend we have noticed. Since COVID home buyers seem far more willing to change areas. This increase in transient buyers is owing to the change in workplace flexibility, more people can work from home so for many the home itself is becoming more important than where it is located.

Ok…in other news…just 16 days left to go to the greatest fun run on earth, I hope you have all been training. Yes that’s right folks, the biggest day on the local calendar the ‘Mini Mos Marathon’ is coming in hot.

If you haven’t started training you still have time….actually you don’t but I have good news…you can still come along and support your local community and have plenty of fun (and cake) at the fair.

Until next week,

David Murphy
